Peter Pan Speedrock part I

Peter Pan Speedrock is a Dutch band from Eindhoven. It was founded in 1997 by guitarist Peter van Elderen. He was joined by drummer Bart Nederhand and bass player Bob Muileboom in making their first self titled album. After this album Muileboom was replaced by Bart Geevers, who would stay to be a permanent member. The trio is known for their honest, no-nonsense rock n' roll songs and has a good reputation when it comes to live shows. They are often joined by guest singer and stage clown 'Dikke Dennis' (Fat Dennis). Peter Pan Speedrock has grown out to be an established name in the Dutch rock n' roll scene.

Brimstone Howl

Lincoln, Nebraska-based rockers Brimstone Howl take their garage rock seriously enough that ever since the stuff went mainstream thanks to the White Stripes, they've decided they don't much care for the term anymore. But they still play a Sixties-influenced blend of blues, beat and punk that's earned them a passionate following both at home and abroad. Built around a core lineup of Nick Waggoner (guitar and vocals), John Ziegler (guitar and vocals) and Calvin Retvlaff (drums), with a number of other musicians drifting in and out of the group, Brimstone Howl began life in 2002 under the name Caesar the Greaser, and they changed their moniker to the Zyklon Bees in 2004. Steady gigging in the Midwest led to a firm reputation as one of Nebraska's finest garage punk outfits, and the Zyklon Bees released their debut album, Seven Mean Runs, in 2005. However, the group's name (which referred to Zyklon B, the poison gas used in Nazi extermination camps during the Third Reich) attracted more controversy than it was worth, and the disc was later reissued under the group's new name, Brimstone Howl. Lots of live work led to second album, Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!, issued later the same year, and a fistful of seven-inch singles followed on a variety of small labels (including Blood On The Rocks, Blood In The River, produced and engineered by Jay Reatard.) Brimstone Howl hooked up with Alive Records for their third full-length album, Guts Of Steel, which arrived in stores in May 2007. We Came in Peace followed in 2008, also on Alive Records.

Forgotten Boys

Forgotten Boys play trashy punk in the tradition of the Dead Boys and the Ramones, infusing that classic pulse with the amplified thrill of contemporary garage. Gustavo Riviera (vocals/guitar) and Arthur Franquini (drums) started the band in 1997 in their hometown of São Paulo, Brazil; their three-song debut included a cover of the Choir's 1967 gem "It's Cold Outside." A second demo recording appeared in 1998 and was well received locally. Bassist Chuck Hipolito was on board for Forgotten Boys' self-titled full-length, released in 2000 on the respected Brazilian punk imprint Ataque Frontal, and when Franquini departed the group a year later, Hipolito doubled on the drums. A split CD with Argentina's Killer Dolls came next, and drummer Flavio Cavichioli joined the Boys in time for the two bands' Brazilian tour. Forgotten Boys' sophomore LP, Gimme More, appeared from 13 Records in late 2002. It highlighted their increased songwriting chops, and caused a stir in the Brazilian rock scene. A year later they signed with Ann Arbor, MI-based No Fun to release the album in America. When Gimme More (And More) arrived in 2004, it included the songs from the Killer Dolls split as bonus tracks. In the meantime Fralda Wilson had joined Forgotten Boys on bass (with Hipolito moving to rhythm guitar), and the band's split record with Uruguayan sleaze punks Motosierra was issued by 13.

The Devil Dogs part I

While recording an album in 1989, New York City punk band the Rat Bastards imploded due to typical musical differences, and two members, Andy Gortler (guitar, vocals) and Steve Baise (bass, vocals), carried on with the project as the Devil Dogs. Influenced particularly by '60s trash rock (Sonics, Wailers), Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound", and the big New York punk sound of the '70s (Ramones, New York Dolls, Dictators), the Devil Dogs went on to release a slew of LPs, EPs, live albums, and 45s. Gortler originally formed a band called Gilligan's Revenge in the early '80s, which became Token Entry and then Black Train Jack after his departure. Baise played in a New Jersey-based surf/punk combo, PT109, before joining the Rat Bastards. Drummer "Mighty" Joe Vincent, who also played in PT109, joined the group in 1991.
