Mule

Two-thirds of Mule, Jim Kimball and Kevin Munro (formerly Kevin Strickland) was made up of ex-members of the Laughing Hyenas. The other third, a former member of Wig, P.W. Long (born Preston Cleveland), was a blood relative to the Hyenas front man, John Brannon (Negative Approach). Mule began in 1991 in Detroit. Like the Hyenas, Mule played swampy Southern tinged backwoods rock, but with somewhat more of an affinity for traditional country—"hillbilly punk", if you will. From 1991-1996, they released two full lengths, one EP, and a handful of singles. “Mule don’t give a damn about your political hang ups; but they’ll do wonders for your sex life.”

Joe Buck Yourself

Joe Buck is the stage name of Jim Finkley, an american country and punk rock musician from Murray, Kentucky. His primary instruments are double bass and guitar. Joe Buck's first serious musical project was called Gringo. In the late 1990s, Joe Buck emerged as the guitarist for Th' Legendary Shack Shakers. He played all guitar, bass and drums on their 2003 album Cockadoodledon't. He played bass for Hank Williams III's country/hellbilly "Damn Band", and was also member of Williams' punk-metal project Assjack. He is credited, along with Williams and Andy Gibson, with engineering and producing Williams' album, Straight to Hell, and appears to have recorded backing vocals for Hank Williams III's Bootleg #3 Pre-Release album. As a solo artist, he tours internationally under the moniker Joe Buck Yourself and is represented by Bucket City Agency, a booking agency which he co-founded.

Scat Rag Boosters

Scat Rag Boosters are a Canadian trio without the bass but with a sound in the vicinity of the Gories, Oblivians and '68 Comeback. Their lo-fi grind can't conceal the raw punk energy and rock 'n' roll roots of their sound. Mick Collins has addressed them as "the best blues-punk band since the Gories" but, instead of being a Gories rip-off, Scat Rag Boosters carry their very own personality. All members are also involved with other projects; Serge (guitar/vocals) is also the one-man band Skip Jensen & His Shakin' Feet and plays in Demon's Claws, Martin (guitar/harmonica) plays in the Royal Routes and Edouard (drums), while playing in the Royal Routes as well, has also played with the Del-Gators and Les Sexareenos.

The Sinners

The Sinners, Lund's major contribution to the history of rock'n'roll, started playing in the winter of 1982-83. Prior to the Sinners, the members were involved in various punk and new wave bands without gaining more than local success. The Sinners did their first live appearance in September 1983 when they played support to Wilmer X at Fredman's in Malmö. They've been doing gigs regularly ever since and have secured a position as one of the most exciting bands from southern Sweden. In the very beginning they covered old Nuggets standards, but very soon they begun writing their own material. They released three singles (Open Up Your Door/Echoes (From Your Heart), Won't Be Back and Hotshot/I Won't Take That From You) on their own label Teenage Kicks. In April 1986 the Sinners did their first tour abroad with six successful gigs in France and appeared on French TV and radio. In October 1986 the French label Swamp Records released a mini-LP entitled The Original Sin containing the first three singles and some other tracks. To promote this mini-LP the Sinners returned to France in January 1987 for a more extensive tour which also included gigs in Germany and Spain. Once home, the Sinners started recording their first album, From the Heart Down, which was released in October 1987 by Amigo Records. In the beginning of 1990 the Sinners started the recordings of their second album together with producer Michael Ilbert at the Polar Studio where also ABBA and Led Zeppelin had recorded. The album was named Piece by Piece and was released by MNW in april 1990, followed by a successful tour. Soon after that, the Sinners went back into the studio to record the follower Turn It Up!. In 1992 the Sinners were awarded the Zeppelin price as Best Swedish Rockband, and they were also nominated for a grammy earlier that year. The Sinners got a major recorddeal with Warner Music in 1993 and in October of that year Come Fly with Us was released. After disputes with Warner Music, the Sinners left the label and had a long break. During this break the band members got engaged in other projects; Langhorns (Michael and Rikard), the Men (Sven) and Zerox (Henki and Rikard again). Through the years until 1994, the Sinners toured a lot to more than 300 cities in many different countries (Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Germany, Austria, Spain and France); in 1989 they played at one of Europe's biggest festivals, the Roskilde Festival.

Lord High Fixers

The Austin, Texas-based garage-punk quintet Lord High Fixers was the mid-'90s project of longtime indie vet Tim Kerr, an alumnus of bands ranging from the Big Boys to the Monkeywrench (the blues-grunge side project of members of Mudhoney and other Seattle scenesters). Also comprised of vocalist Mike Carroll, guitarist Andy Wright, bassist Robbie Becklund and drummer Stefanie Friedman, Lord High Fixers issued a barrage of singles, EPs and compilation tracks before releasing the full-length When the Revolution Comes in 1996.
