The Woggles part I

Drawing their inspiration from the raw nostalgia of '60s rock, the Woggles added their own hybrid of surf, R&B, rockabilly, and blues upon their 1987 formation. Based out of Athens, GA, the band eventually released a handful of EP on Zontar, Estrus, and Lance Rock Records between 1990 through 1993, Estrus Records packaged the bands first full-length, Teen Dance Party, in 1993. Following the Zontar Sessions album a year later on Estrus, Telstar Records put out the Woggles third full-length, Get Tough!, in 1997, amongst another batch of 7"s in between. The mini-album Wailin' with the Woggles came out on One Louder Records the following year.

Les Sexareenos

Originally founded out of the ashes of the Spaceshits, Les Sexareenos got their name from a Ron Haydock teen pulp novel. After releasing some EPs and singles, all of which received praise for their incredible energy and live feeling, the group released their debut album on Sympathy for the Record Industry, Live! In the Bed. Touring continued for the group, including stops in Europe, Japan, and Australia. In 2001, the band released Can You Do the Nose Mustache?, another EP. This was prior to an August release of 14 Frenzied Shakers, their sophomore effort on Sympathy. The band has performed at several musical showcases in Canada and the United States, and has toured with the Deadly Snakes, the Von Bondies, and the Detroit Cobras among others. A collection of their numerous seven-inch releases, 28 Party Dancers from Montreal’s Finest, was released by Sympathy in 2005.

Bantam Rooster

Bantam Rooster was an American garage punk band, formed in 1994 in Lansing, Michigan. Over the years, Bantam Rooster have been a Thomas Jackson Potter (guitar/vocals) project, featuring Eric Cook, Mike Alonso & Nick Lloyd (ex-the Dirtys & ex-the Buzzards) on drums. Known for their rhythm and blues and hillbilly-influenced punk rock sound, the duo fluctuated between the all-out rock of "Dumb it Down" to the more melodic & lyrical stylings of "Perceptive Pornstar". Jim Diamond, the music producer and one-time member of the Dirtbombs along with Potter, has been dubbed as the "3rd Rooster", appearing occasionally live and producing. The group were first signed to Crypt Records in 1996, releasing Deal Me In (1997) and The Cross and the Switchblade (1999) to critical acclaim. In 2000, they moved to the revered Sympathy For The Record Industry imprint for the release of Fuck All Y’All, and received further exposure through their similar approach to their then label-mates, the White Stripes. The group disbanded in 2003 as Potter formed the funk rock band Detroit City Council. Tom Potter started his new band, the Chrome Spiders, in 2007. Potter also did time in the Dirtbombs appearing on Ultraglide In Black and Dangerous Magical Noise.

The Quadrajets

Southern trash rockers the Quadrajets originally assembled frontman the Cheetah, guitarists Roman Hardwick P.I. and Jerome J. Jerome, bassist Catfish Plate and drummer Red Truth (the latter replaced in time by K.Y. Van Zant). The band debuted in the spring of 1995 with the Sympathy for the Record Industry LP When I Lay My Burden Down, followed a year later by Alabama Hip Shake; in the wake of completing 1998's Pay the Deuce, Van Zant was paralyzed in an auto accident, and with new drummer J.R.R. Tokken, the remaining Quadrajets forged on to record 2000's When the World's on Fire. It proved to be the last studio album for the group, who broke up the following year, though not before releasing a live album, If The Good Lord's Willing. Cheetah and Tokken later teamed up for the punk-blues duo the Immortal Lee County Killers.
